Leukocytes in your urine may mean a bacterial infection is present
Positive Leukocyte result suggests there are white blood cells in the urine. This may mean you have a urinary tract infection.
Positive Nitrite result is a sign of a possible urinary tract infection (UTI). Healthy urine contains nitrates, a type of nitrogen chemical. When bacteria enter your urinary tract, the bacteria turn these nitrates into a different nitrogen chemical called nitrites.
Positive Protein in the urine can sometimes be a sign of kidney disease, as well as other health problems.
Urinary Tract Infections Symptoms to look out for:
- Pain or burning while urinating
- Frequent urination and/or urge to urinate
- Cloudy urine, blood in urine or strong smelling urine
- Pain or cramping in the groin or lower abdomen

Symptoms of urinary tract infection can be divided into two groups; symptoms of lower UTI (Cystitis and Urethritis) and symptoms of upper UTI (pyelonephritis).
